Custom SPP creation or component package operations are unavailable

Symptom

Custom Service pack for HPE ProLiant (SPP) creation, component package upload, component package listing, or component package retrieval does not complete successfully. These operations might be unavailable or terminate unexpectedly when Smart Update Manager (SUM) cannot access the custom baseline service.

Cause

Custom SPP creation and component package operations depend on the Custom Baseline service. If the service is stopped, unavailable, or cannot communicate with SUM, SUM cannot process custom baselines or component packages.

Action

Verify that the custom baseline service is running.

On Linux: sudo /opt/sum/bin/sum-service-control.sh status

On Windows: sum-service-control.bat status
If the service is not running, restart SUM and any dependent services.
Verify that sufficient disk space is available on the host system.
Retry the custom SPP creation or component package upload operation.
