Firmware baseline is marked invalid after startup verification

Symptom

A registered firmware baseline is marked as invalid after Smart Update Manager (SUM) starts. The baseline cannot be used for firmware analysis or update operations.

Cause

During startup, SUM verifies registered firmware baselines and validates the associated files and metadata in the firmware depot. A baseline can be marked invalid if required files are missing, modified, removed, or inconsistent with the stored metadata.

Action

  1. Do not manually modify, move, or delete files in the firmware depot.
  2. Remove the invalid baseline from SUM.
  3. Upload the firmware baseline again by using the SUM UI.
  4. If the issue occurs after a restore or migration operation, verify that the firmware depot, database, and related application data were restored together.
