Logging in to SUM

About this task

Follow this procedure to sign in to the application using a valid OS user account on the host machine.

NOTE

Access to the Smart Update Manager (SUM) instance is controlled through OS authentication.

Procedure

Open a supported web browser.
Navigate to https://localhost:63002.
Enter the OS Username and Password for the SUM host.
For a Windows domain account, specify the username in one of the following formats:
- domain_name\user_name
- user_name@example.com
If you enter only user_name, SUM interprets the account as a local OS account, which might result in an invalid credentials message.
Click Sign In. SUM establishes a secure session and displays the dashboard.
