The solution provides on-premises firmware lifecycle management for HPE server environments. It uses web UI, REST API, and CLI to manage firmware update workflows from a centralized host.

  • Server discovery and onboarding

    • Discovers servers using single, multiple, or range-based HPE iLO IP addresses.

    • Supports simple onboarding of servers for firmware lifecycle operations.

    • Provides REST APIs for lifecycle management of servers, baselines and bundles, custom SPPs, and firmware updates, including discovery, onboarding, provisioning, update, and removal operations.

    • Authenticates users with host OS credentials.

    • Protects stored iLO credentials using AES-256-GCM encryption.

    • Generates firmware update reports that summarize update results, including component-level status, firmware versions, update options, and post-update results.

    • Enables you to export report data for troubleshooting, support, and audit activities.

  • Custom baseline management

    • Supports downloading the custom baseline in ISO and ZIP formats.

    • Provides component package management capabilities for custom SPPs, including adding packages to the repository, replacing existing SPP components, and removing components from the repository.

  • Localization

    • Supports localized API error messages and activity messages.

    • Supports English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese through standard language headers.
